How
many sets would Steve do, and what timings work best?
It really is down to the personal preference of the couple. Steve
can be booked to sing swing and rat pack immediately after your
wedding ceremony and during your wedding breakfast only, if that
is your wish. He can also be booked to sing throughout the wedding
breakfast and early evening as additional guests arrive. This generally
takes it up to the time of the buffet - Steve is happy to liaise
with the venue wedding co-ordinator to make sure the timing is exact.
There are those couples who prefer entertainment in the evening
only, where again Steve would perform a rat pack and swing set first
of all. This would be followed by a short break, and then a more
lively spot to start the party. This works particularly well if
a disco is booked for later in the evening. At all times, Steve
is happy to work with the venue to make sure the cutting of the
cake, speeches and photograph's run smoothly alongside your wedding
entertainment.
I
would like to book Steve, but would he be willing to travel to where
I am getting married?
The answer to that is yes! Naturally, as you would expect, there
may be a small additional cost involved to cover travel. Steve has
entertained at weddings in virtually every area of the UK. Distance
really is no object.
Can Steve sing a song for our first dance?
The answer to that is yes! Steve knows how important the first dance
is to the Bride and Groom. Having Steve sing their first dance will
make it even more magical. If it is a standard song there is no
problem whatsoever. In the event that the song is maybe a little
less well known, or say, an album track, then getting the backing
track for the song can prove a little more difficult.
There are family and friends who may have
a particular songs they like, can Steve sing them?
Steve carries such a vast repetoire of music. He will try as and
where possible to incorporate any requests. If he doesn't have that
specific song, he will usually have something similar which he will
be happy to sing.
Can Steve play background music between
sets?
The answer to that is yes! Steve carries a range of background music,
which he is happy to play when he is not performing. This can be
dinner style jazz music. He also has lively dance and party music
for later in the evening.
Can
Steve work alongside a DJ?
The answer to that is yes! Steve frequently works with a disco,
and they can really compliment each other on what music they cover.
He has a good working relationship with many leading DJ's, so if
you haven't booked one already, he will be happy to recommend, or
book one for you.
Do I have to pay a deposit to guarantee
my booking?
The answer to that is no! Unlike many vocalists and bands, Steve
will not ask you for a deposit. Instead, when you are happy to confirm
your booking, Steve will email or send you a confirmation of the
booking. There is one for the client, and one to be signed and sent
back to Steve.
